The Locanda “Tana de l'ors” - “the bear cavern”, a historical inn in the Zoldo Valley, takes its name from an old time hunting passage ( a”viaz” in the local, richly contaminated language) on the Mezzodi', the dolomitic group of mountains that overlooks this segment of the valley, with the Maé river flowing at its feet. The Locanda “Tana de l'ors” is a most convenient, tasty place to stay and make a base to explore this side of the Dolomites, still intact and beautifully wild.
