Good location, wonderful view, attentive service

We were visiting Civetta in January for skiing. The snow is disappointing for this year, however, we were very very pleased with the hotel. Hotel Europa, situated right in front of the lake Alleghe, the view is so beautiful and serene. I wonder how extraordinary it would be in summer?! The service is outstanding, when we arrived, we were greeted by the staff, Paulo, immediately to assist with our luggage and he is always there to help or provide any information one needs. Every day the ski shuttle runs consistently, morning and afternoon, though the gondola is very close, but no need to walk at all, just gear oneself up in the ski room downstairs and the friendly shuttle driver takes you tight up to the lifts.
Every evening meal is always a very good extensive salad bar, with two more hot course and desert. Thursday night they even got a singer to entertain at the bar area. He is a good singer with many beautiful Italian and French songs in his repertoire. And if you have your own car, it is not a far drive from the Hotel to Marmolada (15 minutes) or Arabba (30 minutes) which the snow is much much better and at Arabba town, or Corvara ( 50 minutes), it is more vibrant and interesting. Over all, we were very satisfied, except there's no free Wi-Fi.
