The Hotel Garni Ongaro is situated at the centre of a small mountain village at an altitude of 1420 meters. The whole year round it is exposed to the sun, surrounded by a large lawn and beautiful woodlands behind it, where one can go for long summer strolls and fully immerse oneself in nature. In winter the ski slopes for beginners can be easily reached on foot, and a small van hired by us and free of charge for our costumers will bring you in just a few minutes to the Civetta ski resort, which is surrounded by some of the most beautiful mountains in the Dolomites, such as the Marmolada, Civetta and Pelmo, to just mention a few of them. This territory is part of the Dolomiti Superski circuit, on which you will be able to visit the slopes of Cortina and Tofana, which each year host the world ski championship. As an alternative you çan make the roundtrip ofthe Sella or the Grande Guerra, in other words there is a vast array of possibilities open to you in this area. The village where we are situated is very peaceful and quiet and well suited for relaxation. Here you will be able to forget the hectic city life and working stress. Just a few kilometres away you can visit the town of Cortina with its fashion stores, Corvara which is built in a typically Tyrolean style and Agordo, a small town which is steadily expanding.
